The Urbana Youth Center prides itself on the meaningful impact we’ve had on our students, and without your support, we wouldn't be able to make this possible.

“UYC is really important to us high schoolers. I have a friend who was going to be a high school dropout. The Youth Center is the reason they will get their diploma and find a job in town.”

“The Urbana Youth Center saved me. This is a space where I feel safe and it lets me see my friends. It helped me overcome the struggles at home”.

-Shelby, 7th-grade UYC Student Member

Thanks to our partnerships with local food banks and other providers like Mercy Hospital and the Caring Kitchen we are able to provide hot meals, snacks, and lots of other food options for Urbana Students who would otherwise go hungry.

UYC’s Field Trips provide opportunities for our students to experience the world and aim to develop the whole person. Many students have never been to the zoo, a trampoline park, the Cincinnati Orchestra, and other great experiences. Experiences that are only made possible thanks to our generous supporters.

UYC’s High School Equivalency Program (HSEP) accepts students who would likely not have graduated high school. When students graduate from this program they have their High School Equivalency Diploma, a good job, a bank account, and stable living arrangements.

The Youth Center Resource Program provides free clothing for Urbana Students

“Some of the nicest clothes I’ve ever owned have come from the Youth Center”.
