We are fully charged.
To address the many challenges facing our youth, our organization not only needs the community’s support, but also a team of people with the right skills. GrandWorks and the Urbana Youth Center have business professionals, grant experts, teachers, parents, and passionate community members fully committed to the ongoing success of the youth center.
Youth Center Core Programs

Students receive assistance with homework and study habits. Often, volunteers are retired schoolteachers. The program also provides a quiet classroom for students who may not need assistance, but wish to work independently.
Snacks, Dinner & After School Nutrition
Many children do not get a good meal or are not able to eat when they are not at school. Every student member has access to free snacks, meals, and take-home food at UYC.

Students are inspired and equipped to find fulfilling careers that meet their interests and skills. This includes job application and resume assistance, pairing students with prospective employers, and preparing students for the workforce.
