What is the Behavior Remediation Program?

When students receive a suspension, eligible students may be given the opportunity to reduce their suspension on a conditional basis.

What are the requirements for this program?

Remorse

The student must express either a written or verbal apology in relation to their negative behavior. They must also ask for forgiveness from anyone they may have harmed or offended.

Growth

The student is expected to exhibit positive behavior and an overall behavioral improvement. Their actions need to justify their readmittance into the Youth Center.

Mentorship

The student must be willing to engage with Youth Center Staff about their behavior issues. This involves a regular meeting with a member of the Youth Center Staff in order to discuss their behavior and progression during the time of what would be their suspension.
